Dear Addie, The Cats Double Life
Dear Addie,

I never thought that I would have to write to you for advice but this is a crazy situation that needs your attention. Yesterday, I found out the cat has been living a double life.

How Social Media Has Changed The Way We Celebrate Our Pets

Posted by Lisa on 11/13/2015 to From Lisa
Twenty years ago, if I wanted to show you pictures of my dog Rocky, I would have had to snap a photo on a regular camera, take the film to a store to get developed, wait, wait some more, pick up the photos from the store, and then make the drive to your house so we could peruse the photos. Hopefully, none were blurry or I’d have to try to recreate the moment and take some more photos and repeat the cycle all over again.Today, if you want to show a friend your dog’s photo, it takes just seconds. So many of us have cameras loaded in our phones that all we have to do to take a photo is just point and tap. Sometimes, that photo is too amazing for just one person so we post it to our favorite social media site for all our followers to see. When used correctly and safely, social media sites are wonderful tools to help us stay connected. As dog lovers, we are certainly a social group of people when we get to brag about our pets. Here are my top five favorite sites to do just that:

Situation Normal All Pooped Up (SNAPU)

If you are a dog owner, then I am going to lay down a universal truth at your feet. At some point, your dog is probably going to poop in your house during the course of his lifetime. Do yourself a favor and make peace with this. It may have happened already and I’m really sorry about that. If it has not happened yet, then pat yourself on the back. You win the crown. For now anyway.
It’s only a waiting game my friend. There is no telling when but you need to be emotionally prepared for the day when it does. It may happen the day you are away at work for far too long or it may happen in the middle of the night while you are sleeping and too tired to hear your pooch trying to wake you up. It may even happen when you get up from the couch to get a soda from the fridge (which I always thought was the most frustrating).

Why I Left My Job To Be A Dog Groomer

I am pretty famous for being a ‘dog person’ within my social circles.I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t one. When I was little, whenever anyone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always replied, “ veterinarian” as if there were any other option for me.However, that dream went away at the age of twelve when I had to dissect my first frog in science class.I quickly discovered that I was a delicate flower and gagged at the sight of guts on the table.

Dear Addie, Football & My Human
Dear Addie,

This football season I am going to make a concerted effort to bond with my human, Dan the Man. His real name is Steve but since he was the one who named me I thought it was only fair that I give him a new name as well. He seems to like it alright.
